Success is empty without purpose. And purpose is incomplete without alignment with God.This week, we're diving deeper into how to practically align your life with God’s divine plan.
Many people ask themselves:
How do I know I’m truly walking in God’s will?
How do I hear His voice clearly?
What if it’s just my own thoughts or emotions leading me?
The truth is this: you can’t know God’s plan without knowing God.
Let’s look at Jesus. In the Gospels, Jesus says:
“I and the Father are one.” (John 10:30)
And again,“I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.” (John 8:28)
If Jesus — the Son of God — took time to constantly withdraw and pray, how much more should we?Jesus would go to the mountain, the garden, the quiet places, just to spend time with the Father. He showed us the secret:
To know the will of the Father, you must spend time with the Father.
Step 1: Create Sacred Time with God
In today’s fast-paced world, we’re bombarded with noise — social media, messages, responsibilities. But God rarely speaks through noise. He speaks in stillness.
Before you touch your phone in the morning, touch heaven first. Let your first conversation of the day be with your Father.
Pray with honesty — talk to Him like a friend, a brother, a loving Father.
Say, “God, I want to walk with You today. Guide me. Speak through Your Word.”
Invite Him in before your day begins.
Step 2: Read the Word with Expectation
God's voice is consistent with His Word. The more time you spend in Scripture, the more you recognize when He speaks.
Jesus said:
“If you love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)
And where do you find His commandments? In His Word. Read the Bible not just to check a box, but to listen to God's voice, receive His heart, and understand His ways. When the Word is in you, His will becomes clearer in your decisions, your convictions, and your actions.
Step 3: Make Prayer a Lifestyle, Not an Emergency Button
Prayer isn’t just for crisis — it’s for connection. Talk to God throughout the day.
Before a decision: “God, should I do this?”
In your work: “Lord, help me focus and honor You.”
In your relationships: “Jesus, teach me to love like You.”
He wants to be part of everything — big and small. You don’t need perfect words. You just need a willing heart.
Step 4: Fast for Clarity and Intimacy
Fasting is one of the most powerful tools for realigning your spirit. It silences the flesh so your spirit can tune into God's frequency.
When you fast, the body starts to reveal things:
Your cravings
Your triggers
Your distractions
Your hidden weaknesses
God will often reveal deep things in fasting that you couldn’t see in normal life.Moses fasted.Jesus fasted.Fasting isn’t a punishment — it’s a portal to deeper intimacy. It’s you saying, “God, I want You more than I want comfort.”
And when He sees that hunger, He fills it.
Step 5: Ask, Listen, and Obey — Repeat
God wants to speak to you. But it’s not just about hearing Him — it’s about obeying Him.
When you pray, don’t just talk. Sit and listen.Write down what you sense Him saying. Then — obey.
Sometimes it will be big things. Sometimes, small things. But each act of obedience leads you closer to alignment.
Step 6: Surround Yourself with God-Aligned People
Community matters.
Find people who also seek God’s will. Share with them. Learn from them. Pray together.
Iron sharpens iron. If you want to walk in God’s plan, walk with people who want the same.
Final Word: God Wants You to Know His Will
You are not too far off.
You are not too broken.
You are not too late.
If you’re truly seeking, God is already drawing near.
Spend time with Him.
Read His Word.
Talk to Him daily.
Fast when you need clarity.
Obey what He reveals.
And surround yourself with purpose-driven people.
You will find yourself walking in His will — not by accident, but by intentional pursuit.
